What are TIMEPieces? TIMEPieces is a new NFT community initiative from TIME.
The premiere collection of TIMEPieces is titled, Build a Better Future, and we have asked 40 incredible creatives for their interpretation of this idea. The drop includes limited editions created from 37 unique artworks -- totalling 4,676 NFTs.
Each buyer will receive a random TIMEPiece from the collection that will be revealed once all of the pieces have been sold. Owners of TIMEPieces will receive unlimited access to TIME.com through TIME’s 100th Anniversary, exclusive invites to some of our physical events and access to a variety of exclusive digital experiences.

Where can I buy TIMEPieces? You can buy TIMEPieces on the primary market at NFT.time.com or on the secondary market on OpenSea.
What’s the minting process? As this is a blind drop, each buyer will receive a random TIMEPiece from the collection that will be revealed once all of the pieces have been sold.
How did TIME select the artists? TIME’s Creative Director, DW Pine, invited 19 artists to participate in this collection and each artist was also provided an invite to extend to an artist they respected and wished to include in this initiative as well.
How many pieces are in the Build a Better Future drop? There are 4,676 pieces composed of the following:

What access do TIMEPieces provide? Owners of TIMEPieces will receive unlimited access to TIME.com through TIME’s 100th Anniversary, exclusive invites to some of our physical events as they reemerge and access to a variety of exclusive digital experiences.
- TIMEPiece owners who possess pieces featuring artists will be invited to an exclusive digital event with that artist.
- All TIMEPiece owners will receive invites to other digital events throughout the year.
- Individuals who own multiple TIMEPieces will receive additional perks.
How long does my TIMEPiece access last? TIMEPieces are yours and collectable forever, unless you decide to sell them. The benefits associated with purchasers of TIMEPieces as part of the Build A Better Future drop will expire on December 31st, 2023.
Will there be additional drops? Yes! Build a Better Future is TIME’s genesis drop. We will continue to update the community on future drops.
Will TIMEPiece owners be able to collect royalties or merchandise their pieces?
TIMEPiece owners will be able to sell their TIMEPieces on the secondary marketplace, but will not be able to collect royalties on or merchandise their TIMEPieces. For more information on the rights granted in connection with your purchase of a TIMEPiece please see the TIMEPiece License Agreement.
What blockchain are these NFTs minted on? TIMEPieces are minted on the Ethereum blockchain.
